Shelves: author-sent-autographed I have been putting off reading this book for quite some time. That is very simple. I have fallen in love with this series. Jennifer Laurens has created a story that seems so real to me. Good VS Evil will always prevail in our world. It is a universal symbol.
Jennifer has taken Good vs Evil to a whole new level. The I have been putting off reading this book for quite some time. The characters are so real.
The story unfolds in your mind like a past memory or past life. In book 3, Absolution, we find Zoe still caught up in the battle between good and evil. Zoe has learned a lot over the last two books. She has not only grown up but has also realized how important her family is to her.
She realizes that by putting her family first, the shift in balance of good has a lot of weight. She is still in a desperate fight to hang on to her love for Matthias while trying to live her human life too. Zoe and her brother Luke have been through hell and back. Each fighting their own demons. Together, brother and sister have found some common ground. United they sure stand. LOVE this about the story. In the end, will love prevail? Will the Heavens be able to contain Matthias or keep Zoe out when demons and dark forces are hell bent on getting her out of the human world?
Will Zoe find the life balance she so desperately needs to live out her human existence or will she find a way to be with Matthias?
Absolutely full of varieties. Everything was so mixed up. Human emotions crammed with heavenly light. Imagine that. The book started where "Penitence" the second book left off.
First off, the things I loved about it. I liked how Zoe decided to fight off evil and protect her family against it.. I like how Jennifer Laurens wrote in a manner that made you feel what the character is feeling too. I also feel that same anger. Dealing with temptations.. Anyway, because of that the book taught readers to value your family. How you work out the trust, love and understanding in your family.
They all love Abria, their autistic sibling and cared for her no matter what. It also touched the subject of abuse in ones family, and I think it was great Jennifer Laurens did it because the book not only focused on one aspect of the truth of family problems.
Because she mentioned this in her story, it only made the message that we should be thankful of what family we are in. I mean, it did to me, as Zoe felt it too. I liked how the book showed how disgusting evil is that you want to destroy it before it reaches you. It seems like it wants to make you want to see evil that way so that when its lurking around you, you can feel it and this pushes you to control your emotions and decisions.
Was it possible to love two people? But personally, I liked it because it justifies everything. In this book, many things worked out. Bret was still recuperating with his own soul I guess. Albert was a changed soul-for the good. Weston was a super changed soul too. Zoe changed too. To view it, click here. Ok, where to start? What a concept! But I have a lot of questions unanswered such as: did I miss why Matthias was assigned to Abria in the first place? And Abria is 5, yet they are always holding her like a toddler?
Maybe thats one source of their problems And Zoe was responsible for getting her off the bus, she Ok, where to start? And Zoe was responsible for getting her off the bus, she only did that once, other times she was other places. Zoe was said to have 1st period off from school which is how she had her 1st convo.
Did Zoe keep her powers in the end? Great story just a few holes unfilled.
Gojind Will Zoe ever be able to truly love Weston, as long as she remembers and longs for Matthias? Demonglass by Rachel Hawkins. I was considering giving this book a no star, luarens because of Matthias, I generously gave it a star. I waited and waited and read Penitence, then I waited and waited some more and read Absolution. Zoe also loves mortal Westin.
