The book is pages of useful techniques, tricks and tips about working on guitars. My interest in this volume came after years of playing guitar but not knowing much about what makes a guitar or amp or stomp box work. In a way similar to car repairs, I got tired of spending the money to have someone else do something I could do less expensively myself. You can learn repair and maintain your guitar using the information in this book.
There are dozens of excellent technical illustrations and clear photographs for the visual learner. Also handy for the visual learner, included is a lovely, well produced DVD illustrating many of the concepts and techniques detailed in the book. It can be invaluable to see a technique demonstrated in addition to reading about it and this DVD does just that.
The amount of information is unbelievable. Guitar Player Repair Guide is a fantastic resource for the do it yourself guitarist.
